Save a Life! When disaster, accidents or multiple casualty incidents happen, emergency services are often spread thin. Emergency responders arrive as quickly as possible, but bystanders are generally on scene before they arrive. When a person is seriously injured, they can die from blood loss within three minutes. Bleeding is the leading cause of preventable death in multiple casualty events such as mass shootings, earthquakes and terrorist attacks. It can also be a major factor in car and motorcycle accidents, as well as falls. Be Prepared. Godard Room. Cost: FREE For more info click on tab to open new tab

Time: 4:30 pm

Furthering Preventing in Sultan! Youth drug and alcohol use can be very problematic and can lead to all sorts of costs down the road. So how do we prevent them from using? Kids listen, and if we unite to communicate expectations around not using drugs or alcohol, it greatly impacts the amount that go on to use. Sultan is a wonderful town with a rich history and strong community bonds, and there are so many individuals that care about the youth in this town. Let’s unite together to bring prevention services here and prevent the use and abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. With the powerful influence a trusting adult can make in a youth’s life in protecting them from drugs/alcohol, it’s an easy choice to make. By engaging in power of prevention we can save more than just money, but lives. Come join the Sultan Prevention Coalition at our next meeting, Monday September 16th at City Hall Council Chambers. Your voice matters and they are listening.
